BIFORES ANR Project

The BIFORES ANR project proposes to rethink the production routes of infant formula in order to make them more biomimetic, while meeting the safety and environmental challenges associated with these products. This multidisciplinary project, coordinated by STLO, involves UMR NUMECAN, SECALIM, MEDIS and the BBA Milk Valley consortium as partners. Read all the latest news about BIFORES on this page!

The first 1000 days of life, including infant nutrition, are crucial for short- and long-term development of health and disease, increasing the need for more biomimetic infant formulas, in terms of composition and nutritional/health benefits. The BIFORES project aims to improve the biomimicry of infant formula, taking into account the environmental impact of their production route and without compromising the safety of these foods intended for a sensitive population.
