Objectives

CIRM-BIA: Bacteria for food fermentation and biopreservation The aim of the CIRM-BIA collection is to reflect the diversity of bacteria of food interest associated with fermented and biopreserved foods. The collection comprises almost 4,000 strains, and is regularly enriched by targeted collections from a variety of biotopes. Strains are selected to offer the greatest possible diversity from both taxonomic and functional points of view. They are made available to the scientific and industrial community via an on-line catalog (https://collection-cirmbia.fr/page/Homepage ). CIRM-BIA's research activity supports innovation in the fermentation and biopreserved foods sectors.
