These meetings are organized by several teams belonging to research units that are developing activities at the interface of Biology and Physics, and that belong to universities, INRAE, CNRS and/or INSERM. The aim of these meetings is to strengthen and open up collaborations, and to train and attract young researchers.

The main objectives and missions of these biennial regional meetings are: i- To confront the visions and needs of teams regarding the skills and tools of physics applied to biology; ii- To encourage the emergence of new research at the Physics-Biology interface; iii- To organize events to promote scientific exchanges and technical training for young researchers.
The 2024 edition, organized by STLO (INRAE) & IPR (University of Rennes), will focus on thematic openness and will be organized around 4 themes: artificial intelligence, gut microbiota, techniques at the interfaces, green hydrogen and sustainability. These four thematic sessions will be opened by invited speakers of international renown.
