Amélie Deglaire: visit to the Riddet Institute, Palmerston North

Amélie Deglaire spent one week at the Riddet Institute in Palmerston North (Massey University) as part of an exchange programme funded by ERASMUS+, secured by the Institut Agro.

Amélie Deglaire (Team BN) spent one week at the Riddet Institute in Palmerston North (Massey University) as part of an exchange programme funded by ERASMUS+, secured by the Institut Agro.  Amélie Deglaire completed her PhD at this same institute several years ago. She was welcomed by Dr Suzanne Hodgkinson, PhD in Human Nutrition, and Dr Alejandra Acevedo-Fani, an expert in plant and dairy protein chemistry. During this exchange, Amélie Deglaire presented the work of the STLO, and in particular that of the Bioactivity & Nutrition team, through five seminars. She was invited to present this work at the Fonterra dairy company, whose research division is located opposite the Massey University campus. During the week, Amélie D. was able to discuss with numerous scientists from the Riddet Institute (John Henley-King, David Everett, Munish Puri, Carlos Montoya, Natasha Stroebinger, etc.) to explore and strengthen our collaborations. Amélie D. was able to visit the laboratories of the University of Food Sciences, as well as the brand-new FEAST (Food Experience And Sensory Testing) platform, dedicated to sensory evaluation.
