Appointment to the rank of Chevalier de l'Ordre du Mérite Agricole

Geneviève Gésan-Guiziou has been named Chevalier de l'Ordre du Mérite Agricole for her ongoing work on behalf of the agri-food industry, on the control and monitoring of filtration operations, and on the eco-design of these operations and the processes that implement them.

This distinction is awarded by the Minister of Agriculture, on the advice of the Conseil de l'ordre du mérite agricole. To be awarded it, candidates must provide proof of ten years' real service to agriculture: i) either in the activities mentioned in article L.311-1 of the French Rural and Maritime Fishing Code, or in related services, industries and other activities, particularly in the agri-food, gastronomy or forestry/wood industries; ii) or in public office; iii) or through scientific work, agricultural publications or any activity that promotes agriculture.

Appointments and promotions take place each year in January and July.
