Clara Douadi at STLO

A new recruit at STLO!

Clara Douadi joined STLO's Microbio team as a researcher on 1 October 2025. She reinforces the theme of ‘production of extracellular vesicles in propionic bacteria, key players in food fermentation’.

Clara Douadi joined in october 2025 STLO's Microbio team, as researcher. Clara holds a bachelor's degree in Organism and Ecosystem Biology from Bordeaux 1 University and a master's degree in Genetics and Physiology Research from Clermont Auvergne University. She then went on to obtain a PhD in Cellular Microbiology at the M2iSH (Microbes, Intestine, Inflammation and Host Susceptibility) laboratory in Clermont-Ferrand. She then completed a post-doctorate in Paris at the Saint-Antoine Research Centre, in the MII (Microbiota, Intestine, Inflammation) team, where she furthered her research on the interactions between the host and microorganisms in the context of chronic inflammatory bowel diseases, particularly Crohn's disease.

At STLO, Clara's researches will focus on studying the impact of extracellular vesicles produced by probiotic bacteria on inflammation and intestinal barrier permeability, as well as the mechanisms involved in their interactions..

We welcome her to STLO and to Brittany!
