Green Food Tech 2025 announcement

The fourth edition of Green Food Tech will take place in Saint Malo (France) from 9 to 11 April 2025. Come and join us to discuss innovations in sustainable food!

The GreenFoodTech international conference was initiated 6 years ago by the INAF (Institute for Nutrition and Functional Foods) and Laval University as well as the CRIBIQ (Consortium for Research and Innovation in Industrial Bioprocesses in Quebec) in Canada. Its aim is to bring together the key players of the food sector (research, industry and government) to discuss scientific and technological advances dedicated to sustainable food processing, producing emerging, healthy and nutritional foods and ingredients, and reducing losses and waste.

After three successful editions in Canada (2018 (Quebec), 2021 (remote), 2023 (Montreal)), GreenFoodTech is broadening its global outreach and the conference is coming to Europe ! This fourth edition of GreenFoodTech will take place in Saint Malo (France) from 9 to 11 April 2025. It is co-organised by the National Institute of Research for Agriculture, Food and Environment, INRAE and the University of Lille (with the Science and Technologie du Lait et de l'Œuf unit (STLO) in Rennes, and BioEcoAgro unit, in Lille) in France, as well as INAF and University Laval, in Canada.

GreenFoodTech 2025 will bring together academics and industry for 3 days to present recent scientific advances and promising avenues for sustainable food. This year's event will feature the traditional conference sessions:

  • Reducing food losses and waste
  • Advances in green food technologies
  • Processing and production of safe and healthy food and emerging food ingredients

In addition to these themes, GreenFoodTech 2025 will focus on artificial intelligence and machine learning for food processing, as well as assessment of the sustainability of food systems using multi-criteria methods. The program should include more than thirty conferences, around 25 ‘Flash’ presentations and a large number of posters.

Without a doubt, the upcoming fourth edition, marking its debut in Europe, promises abundant exchanges, which won't be confined to academic and industrial realms alone; they'll encompass cross-generational dialogues, involving young Master and Ph. D. (or postgraduate) students and post-docs who play a pivotal role in shaping the future of research.

We look forward to seeing you at GreenFoodTech 2025!
