The 24th symposium of the Lactic Bacteria Club was held in Dijon from June 12 to 14, 2024.The « club des bactéries lactiques » is a symposium dedicated to the Lactic Acid Bacteria. It represents a great opportunity to discuss about these bacteria which are a group of microorganisms widely used in fermented food production as well as in probiotics applications.

Congratulations to Sandrine Parayre, winner of the best poster award, for her poster entitled « Lactiplantibacillus plantarum et Lactobacillus helveticus :  2 espèces efficaces pour dégrader l’acide phytique présent dans les légumineuses et céréales »!

The Microbio Team of STLO has presented two talks:

•  « Caractérisation d’un mécanisme de défense chez Propionibacterium freudenrenchii pour résister à l’infection de phages filamenteux », conference by Noël Grosset
• "Immunomodulatory effects of Extracellular Vesicles derived by probiotic Propionibacterium freudenreichii and their mechanism of interaction with the host cells », conference by Juliana Guimares Laguna.
